Trust is the only durable asset a publication owns. This page describes the standards that govern everything VIC Magazine publishes — how we report, how we correct, and how we keep our editorial judgment independent of commercial interests.

Accuracy & Verification

We verify factual claims against primary sources wherever possible: official data, court records, peer-reviewed research, and direct statements from the people and institutions involved. When reporting relies on secondary sources, we attribute clearly. When evidence is contested or evolving, we say so rather than manufacturing false certainty. Numbers are checked against their original sources, and quotations are presented in context.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and visibly. Verified factual errors are fixed in the article text with an appended correction note describing what changed and when. We do not silently rewrite published work. Readers can report suspected errors to corrections@vicmagazine.com; every report is reviewed by an editor.

Independence

Editorial decisions at VIC Magazine are made by editors, full stop. Advertisers, sponsors, and business partners have no influence over what we cover, how we cover it, or what conclusions our writers reach. Sponsored content is produced separately from our editorial desks and is always clearly labeled. Staff writers may not hold undisclosed financial interests in companies they cover.

Opinion & Analysis

We distinguish between reporting, analysis, and opinion. Analysis pieces interpret facts and are labeled by their framing; opinion content, where published, is explicitly identified. Our default mode is evenhanded: on contested political and social questions, we present the strongest versions of competing positions and trust readers to reach their own conclusions.

Sources & Attribution

We link to and credit the work of other journalists and researchers whose reporting informs ours. We grant anonymity to sources only when information is genuinely valuable and identification would expose the source to harm — and we describe anonymous sources as specifically as safety allows.

Use of Technology

Our editorial team uses modern tools, including AI-assisted research and production technology, under human editorial supervision. Every published piece is reviewed and approved by our editorial process, and responsibility for accuracy rests with us — never with a tool. Our featured imagery is original designed artwork created in-house.
